The Labour Party has congratulated the National Chairman, Barister Julius Abure as he added another year to his age.
In a statement signed by Dr Abayomi Arabambi National Spokesperson of the Party, he wishes Julius Abure a healthy and prosperous years ahead, saying that attainment of 53 years and his contribution in ensuring that democracy thrives in Nigeria is well acknowledged.
The Party identified that in spite of the crisis that rocked the Party in the past , where individuals and groups who came to deceive the party with their fake ideology, thereby factionalising the Party with the aim of destroying the good intentions of the founding fathers, but God in his mercies have been using him to pilot the affairs of the Party to this day.
Arabambi said even though we are not best of friends because he allowed these selfish politicians to use him in trying to disrabilise the Party because he believed they have good motive for the Party, thereby engaging some of us in a fight which at the end of the day, God exposes the hidden agenda of this bad elements to him, thereby seeing the purpose of Our disagreement.
During the disagreement, the two groups went to trenches, the Party went to factions, there were injuries from both sides. In spite of all these, God gave him the wisdom to maneuver, and ensure that he wriggled the Party out successfully, thereby repositioning it for the 2027 general elections.
The Party also called on him to use his ingenuity in leading the Party to a drawing board so that the ideals of the Labour Party in the provision of good governance and better leadership which currently is the bane of our development can be achieved.
The Party also called on him to continue to provide a focus and dedicated leadership and prevent those who are ready to hijack the Party for their selfish interest from having their way, assuring that the whole democrats are behind him in the task of leading the Labour Party to winning all elections before 2027 and beyond.
It then wishes him good health and divine wisdom to pilot the affairs of the Labour Party to the promised land.
