UI Don, Dr. Kolawole Adekola, Elected Vice President of World Archaeological Congress

Abeokuta, Ogun State — Dr. Kolawole Adekola, a distinguished academic from the University of Ibadan, has been elected Vice President of the World Archaeological Congress (WAC). The election took place during the 10th World Archaeological Congress held at Charles Darwin University, Australia, which concludes today, June 28, 2025.

Dr. Adekola joins an international leadership team that includes Ralph Jordan of Flinders University, Australia, who was elected President, and Sudeshna Biswas from the University of Delhi, India, who was elected Secretary.
