The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, highlighted inadequate financing and insufficient gas supply as key factors contributing to the energy deficit in Nigeria during his opening address at an interactive dialogue organized by the House of Representatives Committee on Power in Abuja on Tuesday.
Expressing concern over the current state of power supply in the country, Minister Adelabu assured Nigerians of President Bola Tinubu’s administration’s commitment to addressing these challenges and improving Nigeria’s business environment.
In his words, “No sector can function optimally without the power sector. Over the years, poor financing and inadequate gas supply have been responsible for the energy deficit we have in the country. But a lot of work is going on to address these challenges.”
