The Kaduna State Police Command has arrested 12 suspects in connection with a mosque attack in the Rigasa area of Kaduna, which resulted in the fatal stabbing of a man. The incident occurred during Tahajjud prayers at Layin Bilya, Makwa Road, where a group of armed hoodlums from areas such as Malalin Gabas, Tudun Wada, Rafin Guza, and Unguwar Baduko attacked worshippers. Before security operatives arrived, the attackers had already killed Usman Mohammed, a 23-year-old man, who was stabbed with a sharp knife.


The police, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, swiftly apprehended the suspects, who reportedly confessed to participating in the attack. Several weapons were recovered from them during the arrest.The police have launched a full-scale investigation to uncover further details and ensure justice is served to the family of the deceased.
In response to the incident, security around mosques has been reinforced, and the public is urged to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. The Kaduna State Police Command has warned criminals to desist from such acts or face the full weight of the law.
