TEHRAN — In a staggering escalation of “infrastructure warfare,” the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) issued a formal ultimatum Tuesday, naming 18 major American corporations as “legitimate military targets.” The Iranian government warned that it will begin active strikes against these entities starting at 8:00 PM Tehran time on Wednesday, April 1, in retaliation for the ongoing U.S.-led offensive known as Operation Epic Fury.
The list, published via state-affiliated media, reads like a directory of Silicon Valley and Wall Street powerhouses. It includes tech titans Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta, and Nvidia, alongside aerospace leader Boeing, automotive pioneer Tesla, and financial giant JP Morgan.
”Complicit in Assassinations”
The IRGC’s statement alleges that these companies are no longer mere commercial actors but are “main elements in designing and tracking assassination targets” within Iran. The threat specifically cites the use of AI, cloud computing, and satellite data in the targeted killings of high-ranking Iranian officials, including the reported deaths of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and IRGC Commander-in-Chief Mohammad Pakpour since hostilities began on February 28.
”These companies should expect the destruction of their respective units in exchange for every terror act in Iran,” the IRGC statement read. “We advise the employees of these institutions to immediately leave their workplaces to preserve their lives.”
While the threat is global in rhetoric, military analysts expect the immediate focus to be on corporate infrastructure within the Middle East. Intelligence reports suggest that offices, data centers, and research hubs in Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and Qatar are at the highest risk.
This is not a hollow threat; earlier this month, Iran claimed responsibility for drone and cyber strikes against three Amazon Web Services (AWS) data centers in the Gulf, causing significant regional outages. The new list expands the scope to include:
- Hardware & Infrastructure: Dell, HP, IBM, Intel, Cisco, and Oracle.
- Specialized Tech: Palantir, G42, and Spire Solutions.
- Industrial & Energy: General Electric.
The Corporate and Political Response
The White House has yet to issue a specific directive to the named companies, though Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt noted that the U.S. continues to “degrade and destroy” Iran’s offensive capabilities. In boardrooms from Cupertino to Arlington, security protocols have reached “Alpha” levels, with several firms reportedly beginning the emergency evacuation of non-essential personnel from regional hubs.
The timing—set for the evening of April 1st—comes as President Trump balances threats of obliterating Iran’s power grid with claims of back-channel diplomacy. For the 18 companies on Tehran’s “hit list,” the border between commerce and combat has officially vanished.
