It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Nkechi Nweje, a vibrant and beloved Nollywood actress, on March 21, 2025. She departed after a brief illness, leaving behind an irreparable void in the hearts of her family, friends, and fans.
Nkechi was cherished for her captivating roles in films such as “My Brother’s Wife” (2019), “Ritual of Vengeance” (2021), and “Sorrows of Nene” (2014). Her dedication to her craft and her warm spirit earned her a special place in the Nollywood community.
She was a devoted wife and mother, and her love for her family was evident in all she did. Nkechi’s friendship was a treasure to many, including producer Stanley Ontop, who cherished her as a close friend.
As we mourn her loss, we celebrate her life, her legacy, and the countless memories she shared with us through her performances. May her soul rest in peace, and may her family find solace in the love and support that surrounds them.
