Ghana Launches App to Verify Partners’ Marital Status

How It Works

Marrify pulls legal data from the Registrar-General’s Department, courts, assemblies, and the Ghana Gazette to check marital status.

Records cover ordinance, customary and Islamic marriages. The app is designed to help people verify the marital status of their prospective partners before entering into marriage.

The move aims to reduce the emotional and financial risks associated with hidden marriages.

A Lesson for Nigerian Youths

Ghana’s Marrify app is a reminder that technology can solve real problems.

The same politicians who ignore the power of technology will never allow their own children to be victims of deception. Their children are taught to verify information before making life-changing decisions.

For young Nigerians, the lesson is clear: verify before you commit. Whether it’s a marriage, a business deal, or any other major life decision, always do your due diligence.

The same leaders who rush into decisions will never allow their own children to make the same mistakes.

Verify. Research. And never make a life-changing decision without knowing all the facts.
