The Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to commence seven new Academic Programmes at the Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology (OYSCATECH), Igboora, an institution affiliated with FUNAAB.
The approval followed a Resource Verification visit by a panel of experts who assessed the human and material resources available for the proposed programmes. The NUC Executive Secretary, Prof. Abdullahi Yusufu Ribadu after careful consideration of the panel’s report, granted approval for the Full-Time mode of the programmes, set to begin in the 2025/2026 Academic Session.
The programmes are:
- B.Engr. Agricultural Engineering and Technology
- B.Sc. Statistics
- B.Sc. Microbiology
- B.Sc. Chemistry
- B.Agric. Agriculture
- B.FWM. Forestry and Wildlife Management
- B.Sc. Computer Science
The milestone has further strengthened FUNAAB’s commitment to academic excellence and capacity building in agriculture, technology, and science-related disciplines. The approved programmes would be hosted at the Main Campus of the College at Igboora, enhancing educational opportunities for prospective students.
Meanwhile, FUNAAB has remained dedicated to expanding its academic offerings in line with global educational standards.
