First Wife Collapses After Discovering Husband’s Secret Second Marriage

ASHAIMAN, GHANA — What was supposed to be a regular, happy day for a married couple in Ashaiman took a tragic and dramatic turn, leaving a first wife fighting for her health in a hospital bed while her husband’s new bride celebrates their union.

The shocking incident came to light following a viral Facebook disclosure by a local commentator, Fati Aboni. According to the report, the first wife fell unconscious and required emergency medical admission immediately after discovering that her husband had secretly wedded another woman behind her back.

A Double Life Exposed

The betrayal runs deeper than a simple secret. According to the details shared online, while the secret wedding ceremony was actively taking place elsewhere last week, the husband was physically at home with his first wife. The couple was reportedly enjoying each other’s company happily, completely oblivious—on the wife’s part—to the monumental life shift happening just miles away.

The husband allegedly spent the entire day acting completely normal, failing to drop even a single hint about the new bride entering the family dynamic. The truth eventually caught up with the household on Friday, June 26, 2026, causing the first wife to pass out from shock when the rumors were finally confirmed.

Visual Evidence Sparks Outrage

The story gained massive traction across social media platforms, supported heavily by photographic evidence. In the viral images, the stark and heartbreaking contrast of the situation is put on full display.

As seen in the screenshots of the viral post from 1002887253.jpg, the social media community has pleaded for more transparency from men embarking on polygamous journeys.

Furthermore, 1002887254.jpg reveals two contrasting realities placed side-by-side:

• On the left, the newly wedded second wife is pictured sitting elegantly on a couch in her bridal attire, her face covered with a celebratory emoji, showcasing her henna-stained legs and feet from the marriage festivities.
• On the right, the devastated first wife is captured lying helpless on a hospital bed with an intravenous (IV) drip attached to her arm, a grim consequence of the emotional trauma.

”Polygamy Has Come to Stay”

While the incident has sparked fierce debates online regarding respect and transparency in marriages, the original poster, Fati Aboni, offered a pragmatic—yet controversial—take on the matter. While she strongly condemned the husband’s secrecy, she urged men to utilize family heads or give at least a week’s notice to their wives to avoid health crises like this.

Aboni also addressed her fellow Muslim women, advising them to guard their hearts against unexpected heartbreak.

”My fellow Muslims ladies, put it in mind that, Muslims men are polygamous and you are not too special… With that mindset, you won’t feel much pains when it happens,” she wrote, concluding with a quote from a local personality, Alhaji Zaaki Sobolo, who reportedly claimed that “one woman can never reach a man… unless a sick man.”

While the second wife settles into her new home, the first wife remains under medical supervision. Local residents and online observers continue to debate whether the husband’s actions were a cultural right or an act of emotional cruelty.
