Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has urged the Nigeria Police to summon his deceased son’s wife, Omowunmi, to provide information regarding the circumstances leading to his death.
In a statement signed by the family, Aloba emphasized the importance of Omowunmi’s testimony in shedding light on Mohbad’s demise.
Aloba’s call comes amidst ongoing efforts to investigate the cause of Mohbad’s death, with Aloba filing a suit seeking to call more witnesses, including individuals who were with Mohbad at the time of his passing.
Highlighting the sensitivity of the matter, Aloba urged the police to ensure Omowunmi’s safety when she comes forward to provide her testimony.
He stressed the importance of swift action in uncovering the truth behind Mohbad’s death for the sake of closure and justice.
Furthermore, Aloba disclosed that he had filed a suit seeking a DNA test for his grandson, Liam, to resolve issues surrounding his paternity.

He emphasized the need to protect Liam’s future and ensure he lives a peaceful life without any blemishes to his name.

he Lagos State Police Command initiated a special investigation team to probe the singer’s death, with the autopsy results awaited to determine the cause of death.
In the course of the investigation, Primeboy, one of the individuals with Mohbad before his death, was declared wanted by the police and later turned himself in.
Despite efforts to ascertain the cause of Mohbad’s death, the police have yet to receive the autopsy report from pathologists, as reiterated by the Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin.
