Residents of Iru Egbede community in Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State are in anguish following the sudden disappearance of 19-year-old Faith Omodon, a 200-level student of Delta State University. Faith, a Business Administration student, was last seen on March 30, after leaving for her father’s farm.
Confirming her disappearance, Faith’s father, Edward, recounted that the unsettling incident occurred during the Iru National Conference. “We were inside the community hall when we heard cries outside that my daughter was missing. She had left for the farm that morning with breakfast,” he stated.
Supporting Edward’s account, the head of the village vigilante group, Ikpoba Johnbull, mentioned that upon receiving news of Faith’s disappearance, they immediately searched the farm and surrounding areas but found no trace of her, only discovering her leftover food in a flask.
