On Thursday evening, an American Airlines Boeing 737-800 caught fire at Denver International Airport, prompting a swift evacuation of its passengers. The plane, which was traveling from Colorado Springs to Dallas, was diverted to Denver due to engine vibrations. While taxiing to the gate, one of the engines ignited, sending thick smoke into the air. Passengers evacuated using emergency slides and some stood on the wing as they exited the aircraft. Twelve people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the FAA is investigating the incident.
