Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election, vowing to lead the movement for the President’s return to Aso Rock in 2027 and declaring that “we’ll dance back to Aso Rock.”
The Adeleke Tinubu re-election Aso Rock declaration came on Wednesday at the inauguration of the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu/All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council in Abuja, where the Osun governor showcased his trademark dance moves alongside the President.
THE DECLARATION
Adeleke, a member of the Accord Party, was assigned to coordinate Tinubu’s campaign in Osun State as part of the APC’s revised campaign council structure .
He did not hold back in his endorsement.
“I am the light, and the light is here. We will sing and dance back to Aso Rock after President Bola Tinubu’s re-election,” he declared.
“I can feel the victory coming in 2027. Nobody can stop this movement. I’m ready to lead this movement”.
He urged Nigerians to support the President and pray for the success of his administration.
“I am here to throw my weight behind Tinubu’s return to Aso Rock. Let us rise from every nook and corner to support the President. Let him come and complete the good work he has begun,” Adeleke said .
“I want you to continue to pray for Mr. President because if he succeeds, we all succeed. I know we will get there”.
THE DANCE
Following his speech, Adeleke joined Tinubu in dancing, displaying the energetic moves that have become a familiar feature of his public appearances.
Their performance attracted cheers and applause from guests at the inauguration .
The moment was widely shared on social media, with the Osun governor’s declaration and dance moves becoming the defining image of the event.
THE CALL FOR PATIENCE
Adeleke also urged Nigerians to give Tinubu more time to implement his reforms, acknowledging the difficulties associated with the President’s policies.
“Everybody that is thinking otherwise, we must give our father, the President of this nation, time to work for his reforms to work. It’s not easy,” he said .
He said his decision to join the campaign was driven by a desire for action rather than excessive political rhetoric.
“That is why I am here to throw my weight because we want action, not too much talking. We don’t have time; work has begun. I’ve already started mine,” he said .
He called on Tinubu’s supporters across the country to intensify their efforts to secure a second term for the President.

“From every corner, let us rise and make sure our president comes back for a second term so he can come back and complete his good work,” he said .
THE CONTEXT
Adeleke’s declaration came after the APC named him and Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo as state campaign coordinators in its revised Presidential Campaign Council for the 2027 general election .
Under the arrangement, Adeleke, an Accord Party member, was assigned to coordinate the President’s campaign in Osun State, while Soludo, who belongs to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), was designated to oversee campaign activities in Anambra State.
Their inclusion in the council highlights the APC’s efforts to secure support from political figures outside its ranks ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
APC National Chairman Nentawe Yilwatda said the party had approached the governors and other opposition figures to seek their support for Tinubu’s re-election.
WHY IT MATTERS
Adeleke’s decision to publicly back Tinubu is significant for several reasons.
First, it formalises an alliance that had been rumoured for months. As an Accord Party governor, Adeleke’s support for an APC President represents a cross-party arrangement that could reshape political calculations in Osun State and the South-West.
Second, Adeleke’s energetic endorsement and dance with Tinubu provides a powerful visual for the APC’s campaign, projecting unity and enthusiasm at a time when the party faces questions about Tinubu’s public appearances.
Third, it places Adeleke at the centre of the APC’s campaign machinery in Osun, despite his party affiliation. Whether this translates into votes for Tinubu in 2027 remains to be seen.
ValidViewNetwork reports that Adeleke has vowed to lead the movement for Tinubu’s re-election. The 2027 election is scheduled for January and February 2027.
