Banky W: ‘I Do the Cooking at Home, Not My Wife’

Banky W has revealed that he, not his wife, handles most of the cooking at home—and he’s completely fine with it.

Speaking on the The Teju Babyface Show, the actor-turned-politician explained that while his wife, Adesua Etomi-Wellington, can cook well, it’s simply not something she enjoys. According to him, their arrangement works perfectly because he loves cooking while she enjoys the meals.

Reacting to the buzz around a viral video of him preparing breakfast, he noted that some people may find the setup unusual, but what matters is that it suits their home. He emphasized that every marriage is different and shouldn’t be judged by societal expectations.

Banky W also pointed out that their dynamic reflects a deeper understanding of each other, especially considering the challenges his wife faced during their journey to parenthood. He recalled her strength through multiple IVF attempts, describing how watching her endure so much made acts of service like cooking feel effortless on his part.
