Former Governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani has urged the south east to negotiate with the incoming administration of Bola Tinubu for national resources and political largesse.
Nnamani who is the senator representing Enugu south in the 9th assembly said this in a statement.
Nnamani, who was recently expelled from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has been consistent about his support for Tinubu.
The former governor urged those who are contesting the result of the February 25 presidential election to approach the court.
“Tinubu has won the election. If anybody has any reason to think otherwise, the courts are there to adjudicate,” the former governor of Enugu said.
“The courts are there as part of the electioneering process.
“What I expect our people to do is to align with the incoming administration, negotiate like others for national resources and political largesse for the benefit of our citizens.
Nnamani said Tinubu’s administration would be fair to the people of the south-east, adding that the former governor of Lagos has the experience to govern the country.
“A Tinubu administration will be fair, just and equitable in the allocation of resources to every part of Nigeria.”
Nnamani lost his bid to secure re-election to the senate on March 18.
