PDP Crisis Deepens as Wike Faction Postpones NEC Meeting Indefinitely Amidst Secretariat Seizure Threat

ABUJA – The internal turmoil within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) escalated dramatically today as the faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, announced the indefinite postponement of its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting. The much-anticipated NEC meeting, which had already seen multiple postponements, was previously slated for May 27, 2025. The FCTA claims the party owes decades of ground rent, amounting to ₦6.9 billion.
