The family of Toheeb Eniasa is mourning his tragic death after he was shot at a petrol station owned by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited in Obalende, Ikoyi area of Lagos State. The incident occurred late Wednesday, leaving residents in the vicinity shaken.
Eyewitnesses recounted that Eniasa, who was waiting in line to purchase petrol, confronted two individuals, believed to be military officers, attempting to bypass the queue. An altercation ensued, escalating to physical violence, and tragically culminated in Eniasa being shot by one of the men who then fled the scene.
Residents, including Mr. Amos Ayo, who witnessed the altercation, identified the individuals as DSS officers, citing their branded polo shirts. According to Ayo, the officers’ refusal to adhere to the queue’s protocol led to the confrontation.
