18-Year-Old Boy Allegedly Stabbed to Death by Close Friend

The alleged killing of an 18-year-old boy, Amos Timilehin Ariyo, who was reportedly stabbed to death by a close friend has thrown residents of t Owatowose area in Owo ,Ondo State into mourning.

The tragic incident occurred around 4 p.m. on Thursday along a roadside in the community, leaving residents shocked and devastated.

According to eyewitnesses said the victim was allegedly attacked by the suspect, identified as Johnson Daniel, who reportedly stabbed him in the chest without any known provocation before fleeing the scene.

Family sources said Amos had only recently recovered from a fever and was on his way from his mother’s residence to her nearby shop when the suspect approached him.

Residents explained that the two young men were known to be close friends and were frequently seen together around the neighbourhood. According to them, nothing appeared unusual as they were seen walking together shortly before the tragic incident.

The quiet atmosphere in the area reportedly turned chaotic moments later when the victim screamed in pain and collapsed after the stabbing, while the suspect allegedly fled immediately after the attack.
