Breaking: Apprehension as Four bandits arrested at Akure Airport during night operations

Report says there was a palpable apprehension as the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has confirmed the arrest of four suspected bandits at Akure Airport in Ondo State where gunmen have carried out series of kidnapping in recent times.

According to FAAN, the arrest was made possible by a coordinated security operation involving aviation and local security agencies.

According to a statement by Henry Agbebire, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection at FAAN, the operation was launched on Sunday night following a distress alert that suspicious individuals had been sighted behind the airport perimeter, near the Eleyewo community.
