On Monday, residents of Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, took to the streets to protest against the soaring prices of food and the overall state of the economy.
Reports from the Valid View Network reveal that demonstrators congregated around the Mokola area, brandishing placards bearing messages such as ‘End food hike and inflation,’ ‘The poor are starving,’ and ‘Tinubu, don’t forget your promises,’ among others.
Accompanying their placards, protesters voiced their discontent through chants and songs, highlighting their grievances over the challenging economic conditions they face.
