Tinubu Swears in Bernard Doro and Kingsley Udeh as Ministers

President Bola Tinubu on Thursday in Abuja administered the oath of office to two newly appointed ministers: Dr. Bernard Mohammed Doro from Plateau State and Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh, SAN, from Enugu State. The swearing-in took place at the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting inside the Council Chamber of the State House.

Dr. Doro replaces Professor Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, who became the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in July 2025. Dr. Bernard Doro is highly qualified, holding a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Jos, an LL.B from University College London, an MBA in Information Technology and Business Strategy from the University of Leicester, and an MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice from Anglia Ruskin University. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Business Administration and an MPhil in Leadership and Management at the Catholic University of Murcia, Spain. Professionally, he served as Financial Secretary of the APC UK Chapter and is an advanced clinical practitioner and pharmacist with experience in frontline health services.

Dr. Kingsley Tochukwu Udeh was nominated to replace Uche Nnaji, who resigned in October 2025 amid allegations of certificate forgery. Udeh, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, holds an LL.B from the University of Nigeria and advanced law degrees including a Doctor of Laws in Public Law from Stellenbosch University and an LL.M. in Public International Law from the University of Nottingham. He served as the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice of Enugu State before his federal ministerial appointment.

The ministers were sworn in by President Tinubu ahead of the FEC meeting, which dealt with pressing national issues including a report on the state of the economy presented by the Minister of Finance. Their appointments were confirmed by the Senate earlier this week following proper screening and vetting processes. These new appointments are poised to strengthen the Tinubu administration’s governance and reform agenda ​​.
