Operatives of the Osun State Police Command, in collaboration with local hunters, have apprehended three suspected cultists and a motorcycle thief within the Osogbo metropolis.
According to a resident of the Alekuwodo Area of Osogbo, the suspected cultists had been causing fear among residents until the police, acting on a tip-off, intervened.
The suspects were reportedly gathered for a meeting in the area when they were intercepted by the Osun Anti Cultism Squad.
Three of the suspected cultists were captured, while others managed to escape.
Confirming the arrest, the Osun Police Command Public Relations Officer, Yemisi Opalola, stated that the apprehended individuals had been involved in attacks in the Alekuwodo Area around 12:30 pm.

The police received a distress call and swiftly responded, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
Opalola further disclosed, “The three of them confessed to being members of Aye Confraternity.”
Additionally, a notorious motorcycle thief known as Sodiq was also apprehended at the Ilesa Garage Area of Osogbo.
The arrest was made by police operatives attached to the Anti Cultism Unit, along with members of the Nigeria Hunters and Forest Security Service during their patrol in the area.
Eyewitnesses reported that three motorcycles were recovered from Sodiq following his arrest.
Opalola assured that efforts would be intensified to apprehend other members of the gang who fled the scene.
