The Ogun State Police Command has initiated an investigation into the kidnapping of Adegbenjo Adelowo, a school teacher from the Alabata area of Odeda Local Government Area.
This was confirmed by Omolola Odutola, the state Police Public Relations Officer, in a statement to Valid View Network on Friday.
According to a source who requested anonymity, Adelowo, a senior school teacher at Alabata Community High School, was abducted while working on his farm in the area.
The kidnappers reportedly emerged from the bush, attacked Adelowo, and subsequently abducted him.

The source expressed concern and urged for prayers for the safe release of their esteemed colleague from the hands of the kidnappers.
Confirming the incident, Odutola assured that efforts were underway to rescue the victim and apprehend the perpetrators.
She stated, “The police are aware of the incident, and upon receiving the report, the Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Alamutu, has ordered an immediate manhunt for the kidnappers and an order for the victim to be rescued safely.”
Odutola reiterated the commitment of the police to combat crime and ensure the safety of residents in Ogun State.
She emphasized that the police would continue their efforts to rid the state of criminal activities.
