Retired General Alleges Sabotage of Boko Haram Fight,Implicates Top Officials

ABUJA – Retired Major General Danjuma Ali-Keffi has ignited a firestorm of controversy with explosive allegations that his successful counter-terrorism operation, which apprehended key Boko Haram leaders and financiers, was met with retaliation, including forced retirement, arrest, and prolonged detention. In a letter addressed to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the retired general claims that powerful individuals within and outside the government actively undermined his efforts, pointing to a deeply entrenched system that may be profiting from the ongoing insurgency.
