FUNAAB’s Prof. Olukayode Akinyemi Named Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University

The appointment of Prof. Olukayode Dewunmi Akinyemi, the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) of the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB), as the Vice-Chancellor of Aletheia University in Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State, marks a significant development in Nigerian higher education leadership. This transition takes effect immediately and spotlights Prof. Akinyemi’s distinguished academic credentials and leadership in Solid Earth Physics and Geophysics.

Prof. Akinyemi, a seasoned scholar, chairs FUNAAB’s Employability and Benchmarking Committee. He is recognized as a Fellow of the Indian Society of Earth Sciences, Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics, as well as a member of the American Geophysical Union. His appointment contributes to a growing trend of FUNAAB academics ascending to prominent university leadership roles across Nigeria.
