The Ogun State Police Command has successfully tracked down and recovered the Lexus RX300 vehicle stolen from the home of late retired Ogun State Television (OGTV) broadcaster, Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, who was brutally murdered alongside her security guard. ValidViewNetwork reports that the Commissioner of Police, Bode Ojajuni, personally visited the crime scene in Iyana Agodo Village, Owode-Egba area, on Monday to conduct an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation. This high-profile visit underscores the command’s determination to evaluate progress and bring closure to a case that has shocked local residents, ValidViewNetwork reports.
During his walkthrough of the premises, the police chief closely inspected the area and received detailed operational updates from the lead detectives assigned to the case. “CP Ojajuni reiterated the Command’s resolve to leave no stone unturned in unraveling the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensuring that those responsible are identified, apprehended, and brought to justice,” according to a statement released by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Oluseyi Babaseyi. ValidViewNetwork reports that preliminary findings by the emergency responders indicated clear signs of forced entry into the residence prior to the attack. The late broadcaster’s body was discovered inside the apartment, while her security guard was found dead at his post during an initial search, ValidViewNetwork reports.
The swift recovery of the missing luxury vehicle represents a significant breakthrough for the local tracking team operating under tight deadlines. “It is worthy of note that the vehicle earlier reported missing from the residence, a Lexus RX300, has been recovered by police operatives during the night hours,” Babaseyi confirmed in his official briefing. The command further assured the public that all available security assets are being heavily deployed to locate the fleeing suspects. Concluding his assessment, the Commissioner of Police commiserated with the family of the deceased and assured residents of Ogun State that intensive investigation is ongoing, with all available resources being deployed to track down the perpetrators, providing a glimmer of hope that justice will swiftly catch up with the perpetrators of this heinous crime.
