LAGOS — The family of veteran Nollywood actor Alhaji Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has thanked Nigerians across the globe for the outpouring of concern over his health, while clarifying why he cannot be moved for the numerous spiritual and medical interventions being offered.

Veteran actor and industry leader Babajide Kosoko made the appeal on behalf of the family in a statement shared on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday, 19 August 2026, addressing what he described as an overwhelming wave of goodwill since the family’s earlier plea for support went public.

“The challenge is simply: where do we take him to? And how do we move him from the hospital while he is receiving care?” Kosoko queried, urging well-wishers not to interpret the family’s inability to honour every offer as ingratitude or doubt.
