The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS), will commence enforcement exercises on all its revenue heads to recover all outstanding tax liabilities and increase revenue generated into the government’s coffer from Tuesday 7th November, 2023
This is contained in a release signed by the Executive Chairman of OGIRS, Mr Olugbenga Olaleye in his office at the Revenue Headquarters, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta
According to the release, the exercise would focus on, but not limited to, ensuring total compliance with payment of consumption taxes, withholding taxes back duty liabilities and road taxes
Olaleye noted that the exercise would continue until all Tax liabilities due to the State government are recovered and paid into the government’s coffer
While disclosing that the exercise would commence simultaneously in the 3 Senatorial District of the State, he urged all Road users to ensure that road documents are up to date and other tax defaulters immediately remit all outstanding tax liabilities through the Agency’s website or visit any of the tax stations located across the state.
