The Odunfa Caucus Family has invited the public to another Fidau prayer session in honour of late Nollywood veteran Alhaji Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, scheduled for 10 September 2026 at 40, Odunfa Street, off Kano Street, Ebute Metta, Lagos.
The event is not connected to any dispute or controversy; it is a religious remembrance organised independently by the Odunfa Caucus Family, coming weeks after Ogogo’s family held his eighth-day Fidau in Ilaro.
A note of gratitude before the invitation
The announcement, shared by Abbey Lanre, opened with appreciation for the love, prayers, presence and support extended throughout Ogogo’s eight-day Fidau, describing that outpouring as a great source of comfort to the family during a difficult period.
It carried a prayer that Almighty Allah forgive the actor’s shortcomings, grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, and illuminate and widen his grave, making his resting place a garden among the gardens of Jannah.
What the fresh gathering is for
Findings by ValidViewNetwork show the new Fidau, organised specifically by the Odunfa Caucus Family, is intended to keep Ogogo in continued remembrance and to seek Allah’s mercy and forgiveness for him afresh.
According to the notice, the session holds by 2pm prompt on the stated date, with organisers appealing to family, friends, colleagues and well-wishers to attend, noting that their presence and prayers would once again mean a great deal to those still mourning him.
A closing prayer for attendees
The Odunfa Caucus Family closed its announcement with a prayer that Almighty Allah reward all who attend abundantly, and accept the prayers offered on Ogogo’s behalf, extending an open invitation to anyone wishing to honour his memory once more.
