Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), recently appeared in court under new circumstances. He is now represented by a new legal team led by Kanu Agabi, SAN, and faces prosecution led by Adegboyega Awomolo, SAN. The case is being presided over by Justice James Omotosho after the previous judge, Justice Binta Nyako, recused herself. Kanu pleaded not guilty to seven counts of terrorism and tendered apologies for past conduct. The trial has been adjourned to April 29, May 2, and May 6
