Nigerian Soldier Begs Trump for Humanitarian Visa for Ill Child

​WASHINGTON — A Nigerian-born soldier serving in the United States Army has made an impassioned public appeal to President Donald Trump, pleading for humanitarian intervention to secure a US visa for her critically ill 10-year-old daughter stranded in Nigeria.

​In a tearful video circulating online, Uzumaka—a member of the US armed forces—revealed that she has endured a decade-long separation from her child while navigating the complex US immigration system. Although her daughter has reportedly fulfilled all mandatory immigration requirements, the child remains blocked abroad due to prevailing visa restrictions.

​The urgency of the situation has escalated dramatically as her daughter faces severe health complications. Uzumaka stated that the necessary medical care required for her daughter’s survival is unavailable in Nigeria, prompting her desperate bid for executive intervention.

​”I am only simply asking that there should be an exception for me. My daughter is critically ill. I have all the paperwork to prove it, medical reports,” Uzumaka said in the video, visibly distraught.
