Mohbad’s Associate Primeboy Alleges Threats from Widow, Initiates Police Action

Owodunni Ibrahim, also known as Primeboy, a childhood friend of the late singer Ileriouluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad, has lodged a formal complaint with the police against the deceased’s widow, Wunmi.

The petition accuses Wunmi of making false accusations and issuing threats to Primeboy’s life.

Concerns have arisen over the paternity of Mohbad’s son, Liam, and the circumstances surrounding the singer’s untimely death at the age of 27.

Mohbad was signed under Marlian Records, owned by Afeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley.

Following Mohbad’s death, Naira Marley and a prominent Lagos socialite, Balogun Eletu, alias Sam Larry, were detained and questioned by the Lagos State Police Command regarding their knowledge of the incident.

Primeboy himself was declared wanted by the state police command on October 4, 2023, but surrendered himself two days later.

He has since been complying with bail conditions, which require him to sign in at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) every Tuesday.

In March, Primeboy, accompanied by Ayobami Fisayo, visited the State CID in Panti as part of the ongoing investigation.

The police initially summoned Mohbad for questioning based on allegations of defamation of character and other claims made in a petition filed by Wunmi.

However, Mohbad’s family contested the validity of the petition.

In a recent statement on his Instagram account, Primeboy challenged Wunmi to disclose the truth about her late husband’s death.

He subsequently shared a petition filed by his legal representatives, Alexime Law Associates, addressed to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police, Zone 2 Command, Onikan, Lagos.

The petition accuses Wunmi of utilizing SCID operatives to coerce Primeboy into making false confessions about causing harm to Mohbad.

It also raises allegations against Inspector Muhammed of the State CID Panti for official misconduct and abuse of police powers, suggesting an attempt to obstruct justice.
