Lagos State has reiterated its commitment to driving growth in the creative economy through targeted infrastructure development, comprehensive skills training, and enhanced industry partnerships.
Speaking at the official commissioning of the Euphoria360 Hub in Oregun, Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Obafemi Hamzat emphasized that the government is actively building a sustainable pipeline of globally competitive talent. Established by prominent filmmaker and actor Femi Adebayo, the new audio-visual facility is designed to serve as a one-stop shop providing producers, creators, and event planners with professional services and modern infrastructure under one roof.
Hamzat highlighted ongoing state initiatives, including the construction of divisional theatres in areas like Ikorodu and Badagry, as well as broader plans to train up to one million residents across multiple creative disciplines. He noted that bridging the gap between skills development and direct employment remains a top priority for unlocking the economic value of Nigeria’s booming entertainment sector.
Also speaking at the event, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, underscored the sector’s vital role in driving economic growth and enhancing Nigeria’s global visibility. Adebayo added that the hub aims to foster collaboration and excellence by bringing key players across the entertainment value chain together to deliver world-class productions.
