​KYIV — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced Tuesday that Kyiv has transmitted a comprehensive set of peace proposals to U.S. negotiators, establishing a potential blueprint to break the multi-year deadlock with Russia.

​The diplomatic initiative comes as the protracted conflict approaches four and a half years of continuous warfare. While the specific parameters of the confidential draft remain undisclosed, Zelenskyy emphasized that American diplomatic influence and military backing are vital to shifting Moscow’s strategic calculus.

​”We have conveyed our proposals to the American side,” Zelenskyy stated in his nightly address. “And the United States can help strengthen our defense, first and foremost with air defense, and put pressure on Russia so that its plans are different — to prepare for an end to the war rather than prolonging it.”
