“ONE LAST TIME”
British entertainer Jane McDonald has announced what she describes as the final edition of her fan cruise, with the seven-day voyage scheduled for September 24 to October 1, 2027.
The cruise will sail aboard Ambassador Cruise’s Ambience, departing from London Tilbury and visiting Cobh, Belfast and Cherbourg.
McDonald made the announcement on her official website.
ValidViewNetwork reports that the announcement concerns the end of the fan-cruise series, not the end of McDonald’s wider entertainment career. She continues to have television and music projects.
“I’M SETTING SAIL ONE LAST TIME”
McDonald wrote that she was “setting sail one last time”. She described the 2027 trip as the third and final Cruise with Jane McDonald. She invited fans to join her for the final voyage.
The cruise will feature two different headline shows by McDonald.Special guests Nathan Carter and Mary Mac are also scheduled to appear.
A CAREER LINKED TO CRUISES
McDonald became widely known after appearing in the television series The Cruise, which followed life aboard cruise ships..Her career subsequently expanded into television, music and live entertainment.
She has also hosted travel programmes and become closely associated with cruise holidays. Her official biography describes her as a television host and entertainer with a long-running connection to travel programming.
NOT RETIREMENT
The announcement has generated headlines suggesting a major career farewell.
However, McDonald’s own announcement is narrower. She has announced the end of her fan-cruise series. She has not announced the end of her television, music or live entertainment career.
Her official website continues to list her 2026 television project, Jane McDonald From Pole to Pole, as well as music and touring activities.
ValidViewNetwork reports that readers should therefore distinguish between the final “Cruise with Jane McDonald” event and a retirement announcement. They are not the same thing.
WHEN TO BOOK
According to McDonald’s announcement, pre-sale access begins on October 9, 2026.General sale begins at 10am on October 12. The voyage will run for seven nights.
McDonald said she wants the final sailing to be special for fans who have followed her cruise events.
ValidViewNetwork reports that Jane McDonald’s latest announcement marks the closing chapter of a cruise event closely connected to the story of her television career, while her wider work in television, music and live entertainment continues.
