Devastating Fire Strikes Yinka Ayefele’s Fresh FM Head Office

A tragedy struck Ibadan on the evening of August 15, 2025, as the head office of Fresh FM Nigeria at Challenge was engulfed in a fierce fire incident. The blaze tore through the popular radio station, leaving significant destruction in its wake and shaking the media community to its core.

According to multiple eyewitness reports and confirmation from the station’s management, the fire broke out unexpectedly, swiftly overwhelming all immediate efforts to contain it. Staff valiantly fought the inferno with in-house extinguishers but the flames proved too intense, forcing a desperate appeal for help from the public and the nearest fire service stations. The studios of Fresh 105.9 FM and Blast 98.3 FM were among the worst-hit sections, suffered extensive destruction. Despite the swift response of professional firefighters, the inferno had already consumed much of the premises before containment.
