Fresh Dressing-Room Physical Altercation Deepens Crisis Under José Mourinho

MADRID — Real Madrid’s turbulent campaign has taken a volatile turn. Reports emerging from Spain indicate that harmony within the squad has completely fractured, with two unnamed first-team stars allegedly coming to blows during a heated training-ground dispute.

According to Spanish radio station Cadena SER, the atmosphere inside the dressing room remains profoundly “cold” and unsettled, heavily undermining the club’s objectives just months after José Mourinho’s high-profile return to the dugout this summer.

Journalist Antón Meana, speaking on the programme El Larguero, revealed that deep-seated tensions—which previously surfaced under former coaches Xabi Alonso and Álvaro Arbeloa—have persisted unchecked. Even Mourinho’s notorious disciplinary authority has reportedly failed to thaw an icy environment that continues to plague the squad.

Lingering Shadows and Mounting Headaches

This latest physical altercation follows a turbulent period for the Spanish giants. Earlier in the year, the club was rocked by a high-profile Valdebebas training ground bust-up between Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde, an incident that left Valverde hospitalized with a head injury and resulted in heavy financial sanctions for both players.

Compounding Mourinho’s early-season frustrations is an ongoing subplot involving star forward Kylian Mbappé. The French international recently drew internal ire after withdrawing from national team duty due to a reported knee injury, only to subsequently surface in public leisure settings—including a cycling video in the Swiss Alps—prompting a firm warning from the manager regarding off-field discretion.

A Crucial Test Ahead

Los Blancos currently sit six points adrift of domestic rivals Barcelona in the La Liga standings after a mixed opening stretch, winning five of their first seven league outings.

The squad faces an unforgiving run of fixtures starting with a home clash against Villarreal at the Santiago Bernabéu, followed immediately by high-stakes encounters against Roma, Sevilla, RB Leipzig, and a decisive Clásico meeting with Barcelona.

With internal friction boiling over and pressure mounting on the touchline, Mourinho faces an immediate challenge to restore order before Real Madrid’s season slips further off course.
