Tragic news from Lagos State as a five-year-old boy named David has passed away after falling from a fence in the Igando area. The incident occurred while David was playing with other children in the community.
He climbed a fence and lost his balance, falling to the ground.
When his friends realized he was unconscious, they quickly alerted a neighbor who rushed to the scene.
David was then taken to the hospital where he was sadly pronounced dead by the attending doctor.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that David’s father reported the accident to the Igando Division.
The police visited the scene, and David’s body has been moved to Mainland General Hospital, Yaba, Lagos, for an autopsy. An investigation into the incident is currently ongoing.
This unfortunate incident serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance and safety precautions, especially when children are playing in potentially dangerous areas.
