A 26-year-old transgender woman has been sentenced to seven and a half years behind bars at Harrow Crown Court after admitting to a calculated campaign of dozens of fabricated rape allegations targeting six innocent men.
Khloe Simmonds pleaded guilty to eight counts of perverting the course of justice following a series of false claims spanning from July 2018 to January 2026. Prosecutors revealed that at the peak of the offending, Simmonds’ false reports accounted for roughly 2.5\% of all rape and serious sexual assault investigations logged in the London borough of Harrow.
The court heard details of multiple devastating investigations triggered by Simmonds, including an instance where an Afghan national spent 88 days under police investigation after being falsely accused of a knifepoint assault. Other targets included a dating app user and a taxi driver—the latter of whom was cleared only after GPS vehicle data proved the cab had never stopped or dropped below 25 miles per hour during the alleged timeframe.
Sentencing Simmonds, His Honour Judge John Lodge condemned the behavior as a sustained pattern of conduct rather than isolated incidents. The judge emphasized that the massive diversion of emergency resources severely compromised police capability to protect genuine victims of serious crime.
Mitigating defense counsel noted that Simmonds suffered from underlying mental health difficulties, including autism, ADHD, and chronic alcohol dependency. Simmonds briefly observed the opening of the sentencing hearing via video link from HMP Wormwood Scrubs before retreating to a cell and refusing to attend the remainder of the proceedings.
