London, UK – Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie Johnson have announced the joyous arrival of their fourth child together, a baby girl named Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson. The newest addition to the Johnson family was born on May 21st, making her grand debut earlier this week.
Carrie Johnson took to Instagram to share the happy news, posting a series of heartwarming family photos, including one of Mr. Johnson cradling his newborn daughter and another showing their older children doting on the baby.

In her sweet post, Mrs. Johnson, who affectionately calls her daughter “Pops” or “Pop Tart,” expressed her overwhelming joy. “Welcome to the world Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson born on 21st May,” she wrote. “I can’t believe how pretty and tiny you are. Feel so incredibly lucky. We are all totally smitten. Not sure I’ve slept a minute since you were born as can’t stop looking at how completely lovely you are.”
She extended her gratitude to the “amazing maternity team at UCLH,” specifically mentioning Asma and Patrick for their exceptional care throughout all her pregnancies.
Poppy joins her three older siblings, Wilf, Romy, and Frank. Carrie noted that her children are “utterly delighted,” with Romy particularly thrilled to have a little sister, anticipating “matching dresses.” Mrs. Johnson playfully referred to Poppy as the “final gang member,” suggesting their family is now complete.
“Back from hospital now and time for cocktails and pizza with my tiny baby snoozing on my lap. Life doesn’t get any better,” she added, perfectly capturing the bliss of new parenthood.
