…Governor Demands Aggressive Grassroots Mobilization Ahead of 2027 polls

…Group Deploys 25 Mobilizers Per Polling Unit in Ondo

AKURE – Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has charged political mobilizers to intensify grassroots sensitization to secure a landslide victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the state ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Governor gave the charge on Friday while hosting the state leadership of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors (RHA) at the Cocoa Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office in Akure, the state capital.

Commending the group’s strategic grassroots structure, Governor Aiyedatiwa emphasized that no stone must be left unturned in delivering maximum votes for the President, noting that public understanding is vital to sustaining the current democratic gains.

Defending Tinubu’s Economic Reforms

Addressing the delegation, Governor Aiyedatiwa robustly defended the economic policies of the federal government, asserting that President Tinubu’s reforms are successfully repositioning Nigeria’s economic trajectory. According to him, the initial hardships triggered by the policies are steadily giving way to tangible, positive outcomes.

He noted that the Renewed Hope Ambassadors was specifically birthed to bridge the critical communication gap between the Federal Government and citizens. Much of the criticism leveled against the President, the Governor argued, stems from a lack of adequate information regarding the long-term benefits of the administration’s agenda.

”The group was established to bridge the communication gap between the Renewed Hope Agenda and Nigerians who are the intended beneficiaries,” Governor Aiyedatiwa stated. “Some people do not have enough information, and that is why many still criticize Mr. President. We have to educate them and take the message to every part of the country. We must let the people know what Mr. President has done and why we have to support his re-election.”

Key Milestones Highlighted

The Governor listed several landmark achievements of the Tinubu administration across infrastructure, education, youth empowerment, and fiscal policy, including:

  • The Nigerian Student Loan Scheme: Revolutionizing access to higher education for less privileged youth.
  • Monetary Reforms: The convergence of the exchange rate and the elimination of multiple foreign exchange windows, which he noted have curbed round-tripping and eliminated market distortions.
  • Infrastructure Expansion: The reconstruction of the Akure-Ibadan Highway using durable concrete pavement and the ambitious Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway project.

Governor Aiyedatiwa expressed optimism that motorists and commuters would soon experience safer, more convenient travel as these strategic infrastructure projects near completion.

Unleashing the Grassroots Machinery

Earlier in his briefing, the State Director-General and Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Rt. Hon. Victor Olabimtan, revealed that the group has finalized a formidable political structure to dominate the grassroots.

Since its formal inauguration in the state on May 5, the RHA has successfully recruited 25 dedicated ambassadors for each polling unit across Ondo State.

RHA Operational Strategy at a Glance

  • Polling Unit Strength: 25 Ambassadors per unit to drive localized execution.
  • Ward-Level Expansion: An ongoing compilation of a secondary network featuring 400 ambassadors per ward.
  • Core Mandate: Deconstruct federal policies, correct public misinformation, project government milestones, and gather direct community feedback.
  • Upcoming Initiatives: Staging a comprehensive Youth Summit and regional town hall meetings targeting youth empowerment and developmental literacy.

Rt. Hon. Olabimtan reaffirmed the group’s unalloyed loyalty to the ruling party, stressing that the RHA operates strictly as an enforcement organ of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

”We are guided by a singular, unifying operational philosophy,” Olabimtan declared, citing the group’s official slogan: “One Party, One Message, One Mobilisation, United We Stand, Divided We Fall.”

Assuring the delegation of the Ondo State Government’s continuous institutional support, Governor Aiyedatiwa concluded that a seamless synergy between the RHA and the mainstream APC structure would undeniably solidify the party’s supremacy and guarantee a flawless electoral outing in the forthcoming general elections.
