Governor Ademola Adeleke has formally approved the membership of more than 20 specialised sub-committees under the Osun State Presidential Campaign Council to drive the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The approval, announced on Saturday by the governor’s spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, brings together leaders and members from the “rainbow coalition” of the Accord Party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). All factions within the coalition partners are represented, a move the governor’s office described as putting every group “on the same page” for mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.76
The Central Coordinating Committee is headed by Governor Adeleke and includes former governors Chief Bisi Akande and Gboyega Oyetola, Senator Iyiola Omisore, Senator Ajibola Basiru, Muniru Bola Oyebamiji, Accord State Chairman Pastor Victor Akande, APC State Chairman Sooko Taju Lawal and PDP State Chairman Hon. Sunday Bisi.

The sub-committees cover women mobilisation (chaired by Alhaja Kudirat Fakokunde, with an elders/advisory group featuring Yeye Dupe Adeleke Sanni, Erelu Olusola Obada and others), media and strategic communication (Bar. Kolapo Alimi), digital and social media (Mallam Olawale Rasheed), election planning and monitoring (Governor Adeleke as chairman, with Senator Omisore as deputy), informal groups and artisans, support groups, campaign planning and strategies, finance, fundraising and logistics, civil society and labour unions, welfare, contact and mobilisation, protocol and venue, special duties, security and intelligence (led by retired Lt. Gen. Lamidi Adeosun), youth and student affairs, parliamentarian mobilisation, inter-party affairs, persons with disabilities, religious affairs (separate Islamic and Christian committees), medical affairs, legal matters (Bar. Kunle Adegoke, SAN), administration and secretariat coordination, and grassroots mobilisation involving local government party chairmen and nominees from both APC and PDP/Accord structures.

An extensive elders’ list also features prominent figures including Chief Bisi Akande, Dr Olu Alabi, Senator Lere Oyewumi, Otunba Titilayo Ponnle, Alhaji Shuaib Oyedokun and many others.

Governor Adeleke charged the sub-committees to begin work immediately and deliver “massive” support for the President. He disclosed that he had recently briefed President Tinubu on preparations in Osun and received the President’s endorsement to assure coalition partners and the people of the state that outstanding issues would be addressed. He specifically noted that the local government matter would “soon be sorted out,” adding that the President is “fully abreast of our hopes and aspirations and is determined to address them as quickly as possible.”

“I therefore charged leaders of the sub-committees and their members to set to work immediately. We must deliver massively,” the governor was quoted as saying.

The development builds on the earlier inauguration of the broader Osun State Presidential Campaign Council in October, which itself followed Adeleke’s appointment as state coordinator within the national APC presidential campaign structure. While the state APC had earlier floated a parallel parliamentary-focused structure amid tensions over coordination, Saturday’s announcement from the governor’s office presents a unified, multi-party framework focused solely on the presidential race.

The full detailed lists of all sub-committee members were released alongside the statement.
