Two Arrested Over Killing of Police Officer’s Wife in Gombe

Two suspects are in police custody in Gombe State over the alleged armed robbery and killing of Mrs Aishatu Salisu, the wife of a serving police officer.

ValidViewNetwork reports that the incident occurred at Wuro Shie Quarters. Police said the suspects allegedly attacked the residence of Inspector Salisu Waziri and attempted to steal his wife’s phone.

Mrs Salisu reportedly raised an alarm before one of the attackers allegedly struck her with a machete.

She was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead.

The police later arrested two suspects and said a sharp weapon was recovered. ValidViewNetwork reports.
