​IKOTUN — The bustling commercial hub of Ikotun Roundabout ground to an electric halt on Friday as the grand finale of the Street Got Talent – Eko Edition lit up the Lagos mainland with vibrant displays of music, dance, and raw urban creativity.

​Organized in collaboration with Xpatainment and championed by the Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development, the high-octane event brought together the finest prodigies selected from grassroots auditions spanning the five administrative divisions of the state.

​Rather than confining youth engagement to conventional auditoriums, the initiative deliberately took the stage directly to the streets, transforming public spaces into a platform for social inclusion and talent incubation. Finalists competed fiercely before a massive crowd of enthusiastic spectators, proving that the state’s neighborhoods remain an unexhausted reservoir of exceptional creative capital.

​Beyond the applause and entertainment, the programme pivoted heavily toward economic sustainability. In a strategic move to integrate informal sector youth into the state’s financial mainstream, organizers distributed vital commercial assets—including Point of Sale (POS) terminals, mobile communication devices, and direct financial grants—to select beneficiaries. This empowerment layer underscored a clear institutional policy: bridging the gap between raw talent discovery and enterprise development.
