After more than a decade away from the active political landscape, the New Hope Network—a once formidable socio-political movement in the Olorunda Local Council Development Area (LCDA) and the broader Badagry division—has officially staged a comeback.
The group made its grand return during a high-profile strategic meeting held in Mowo, Olorunda LCDA, where members unanimously resolved to pitch their tent with the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the upcoming 2027 general elections.
Highlighting its core objectives, the network formally endorsed the re-election bid of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Lagos State governorship hopeful Dr. Obafemi Kadri Hamzat, his running mate, Princess Damilola Sonayon James, and the Executive Chairman of Olorunda LCDA, Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon.
A Catalyst for Grassroots Mobilization
Addressing party faithful, community leaders, and returning members, the leader of the group and former Secretary to Olorunda Local Government, Prince Wale Adesina, revealed that the decision to revitalize the organization stemmed from a profound desire to accelerate local development and bolster the progressive governance championed by the APC.
Adesina specifically credited the visionary leadership and impressive developmental strides of Council Chairman Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon as the primary catalyst that galvanized members to pull the structure out of dormancy.

” we are not anti-APC. We are coming back to contribute our quota to the success of the party and support the administration of Hon. Ajose Peter Kumayon,” Adesina declared, emphasizing a unified front across the region.
A Rich Legacy of Grassroots Impact
Founded around 2003, the New Hope Network quickly carved a niche for itself as a formidable power bloc in Badagry politics, successfully steering political discourse and lending crucial backing to previous administration helmsmen, including former Olorunda LCDA chairmen Hon. Abudu Amida and Hon. Olatunde Samson Folorunsho.
Beyond conventional partisan politics, the organization earned widespread acclaim for its impactful human capital investments. Between 2008 and 2015, the network operated a renowned free computer training initiative that equipped over 2,000 youths across the locality with vital digital literacy and vocational competencies.
Rebuilding for 2027
As part of measures to consolidate its return, the group unveiled a revamped administrative hierarchy, detailing newly appointed principal officers and comprehensive ward coordinators spanning all five political wards of Olorunda LCDA.

With its machinery fully re-engaged, the New Hope Network intends to deploy aggressive grassroots mobilization strategies, ensuring a sweeping victory for President Tinubu, the Lagos State APC ticket, Hon. Ajose, and all party flagbearers in Badagry come 2027.
