Family Mourns as Nigerian Father Among Three Dead in Herts Crash

​HERTFORDSHIRE, UK — The British-Nigerian community is in deep mourning following the tragic death of David Oyedeji Adediwura, who was killed alongside two others in a high-impact collision on Cory Wright Way in Wheathampstead.

​Adediwura, a former logistics worker for major delivery firms Yodel and DHL, was traveling in a silver Vauxhall Astra when the vehicle collided with a grey BMW 840i at approximately 9:38 PM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026. Hertfordshire Police confirmed that three men inside the Astra—ranging in age from their 30s to 50s—were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. The driver of the BMW sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital for urgent medical care.

Adediwura and his wife, Modinat Adebayo, had relocated from Nigeria to the UK with the aspirations of establishing a stable, prosperous foundation for their three children.
