The leadership of the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide has taken decisive action following the public outcry generated by a viral video exposing the alleged involvement of one of its clerics in occult practices. Prophet Oyebamiji Oluwadamilare, the Shepherd-in-charge of the CCC Ogomide Gbarin Parish in Ile-Ife, Osun State, has been officially expelled from his regional jurisdiction.
The disciplinary action follows a rigorous, two-month clandestine investigation led by the Church Task Force, in collaboration with the CCC Olorunsogo Regional Headquarters and under the direct supervision of the Office of the Pastor, His Eminence, Reverend Emmanuel Mobiyina Friday Oshoffa.
A Proactive Probe Behind the Scenes
While the sudden appearance of the video on social media sent shockwaves through Christendom and sparked widespread condemnation, church insiders revealed that the internal investigation was already well underway long before the footage leaked to the public.
Acting on high-level intelligence regarding activities fundamentally contrary to the doctrines, ordinances, and spiritual tenets of the Celestial Church, the Task Force had been quietly gathering evidence. According to administrative sources, church authorities made multiple attempts to extend a fair hearing to Prophet Oluwadamilare. However, the accused cleric repeatedly snubbed official invitations to appear before the investigative panel, reportedly claiming he had been “instructed” not to submit himself to any internal interrogation.
Undeterred by his lack of cooperation, the Task Force compiled its findings and kept the pastoral head office fully briefed throughout the process, ensuring strict adherence to due process.
Swift Expulsion and Zero Tolerance
Following the conclusion of the preliminary probe and the subsequent public relations crisis triggered by the viral video, regional authorities moved swiftly to enforce discipline. Prophet Oluwadamilare was summarily expelled from the Olorunsogo Region. The comprehensive investigative report has now been forwarded to the Office of the Pastor, CCC Worldwide, for final review and the determination of further statutory sanctions in line with the CCC Constitution.
A senior official within the CCC Task Force, speaking on condition of anonymity, reiterated the church’s uncompromising stance on spiritual discipline:
”The Celestial Church of Christ maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward any actions that bring the name of Christ or the Church into disrepute. Any shepherd, prophet, evangelist, or lay member found engaging in practices that compromise our spiritual integrity will face immediate and severe sanctions.”
Clean-Up Applauded by Laity
The revelation that church authorities had proactively investigated the matter prior to the social media uproar has quieted critics and earned the Task Force widespread commendation from the laity. Many church members have praised the leadership for its vigilance and commitment to preserving the sanctity, credibility, and historical heritage of the white-garment church.
As the global Celestial community awaits the final directive from Reverend Oshoffa’s office, the swift handling of the Ile-Ife incident serves as a stark warning to clerics across all parishes that accountability and doctrinal fidelity remain non-negotiable.
