IGP Aide Targets Disu Over Leak Allegations of Enbezzlement!

High-level friction grips Nigeria’s police leadership as Bukola Kuti, Principal Staff Officer 3 (PSO 3) to Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun, intensifies efforts to force Assistant Inspector-General Tunji Disu into retirement. Police insiders claim Kuti, now an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) with influence over key postings, views Disu as the source of damaging leaks about a N100 million security vote payment to Egbetokun’s son, Victor Adewale.​ This move escalates internal resentments already fueled by Kuti’s rapid promotions, which peers attribute to her closeness to the IGP.​

Documents show reversals on September 29, 2025, but cash withdrawals from the security account led to four N25 million deposits back into Victor’s account by October 2 (transaction IDs: 15039864828, 15039863135, 15039862781, 15039864829).​ Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin quoted Victor claiming unawareness of the “suspicious inflow” and immediate reversal instructions, with standing alerts on his account.​
