Lagos, Nigeria—In a major display of community support and political engagement, the Samuel Ajose Foundation has delivered a significant boost to the voter registration drive led by the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State. This intervention aligns with the commencement of the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which began on August 18, 2025.

Samuel Mawuyon Ajose, renowned businessman and philanthropist, spearheaded the donation ceremony at Cathedral Church Primary School on Broad Street, Lagos Island. Attendees included all 57 Local Government Area (LGA) chairmen of the APC, who received a comprehensive suite of logistics equipment aimed at streamlining the six-month registration period and facilitating widespread participation.
The donated materials comprised:

- 57 HP desktop printers
- 57 Lenovo laptops
- 57 generators
- 57 MTN Wi-Fi routers with prepaid six-month subscriptions
- 57 electric standing fans
- 57 surge protector extension leads
- 57 HP computer mice
- Large-format banners for public awareness campaigns
Additionally, each LGA chairman received ₦200,000 to support the mobilization, recruitment, and management of personnel throughout the registration exercise.

Vision for Electoral Engagement
Ajose emphasized the necessity of robust voter turnout for electoral success and sustained governance. He stated that the foundation’s support was motivated by the notable achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, expressing optimism for greater milestones should Tinubu secure re-election in 2027. Ajose called for the voter registration campaign to permeate every community, focusing on grassroots involvement as a vehicle for real change.
He noted, “Our intention is clear: to ensure every eligible Lagosian has access to Permanent Voter Cards and to ease the path to electoral participation for everyone, regardless of party affiliation. These logistics tools will address registration bottlenecks and encourage prompt, visible community engagement.”
Prior Contributions to Public Welfare
Samuel Ajose’s philanthropy extends far beyond electoral logistics. In recent years, he has donated substantial funds to empower APC chairmanship candidates in Badagry, women entrepreneurs, and local cooperative societies, marking him as a pillar of support for Lagos’ social and political development.
Official Commendations
Party officials, including Lagos APC Deputy Chairman Hon. Moshood Mayegun and Conference of 57 LGA Chairmen leader Hon. Mayegun Dalley Adeokun, commended Ajose’s exceptional generosity. They pledged to use the equipment transparently and ensure that all LGAs are fully resourced to execute the CVR, further strengthening Lagos APC’s administrative capacities.
Executive Chairman of the Lagos Island East LCDA, Muyibi Folawiyo, noted that while Ajose’s support was “crucial for party strategy, these resources will directly benefit all Lagosians in facilitating their civic duty.” Registration points will be set up for broad and unbiased public access.
Call to Civic Action
INEC has urged all eligible residents to partake in the CVR at local government offices and designated centres from August 25, running Mondays through Fridays, 9am to 3pm. Ajose stressed that holding a PVC is essential for participating in upcoming elections, urging residents to seize the opportunity and strengthen both democracy and community empowerment.
The Samuel Ajose Foundation’s intervention marks a new chapter in the grassroots mobilization for Nigeria’s electoral process, driving inclusivity and engagement ahead of the decisive 2027 polls.
