LAI MOHAMMED AFFIRMS THAT NIGERIA IS SAFE AMIDST FEARS OF TERRORIST ATTACK

Nigeria is safe, according to Lai Mohammed, who allays concerns over a possible terrorist attack in Abuja.
Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, has stated that there is no need for concern because Nigeria is safe.
He believes that the worst of the insecurity is behind us. During a ministerial session of the ongoing UNESCO Global Media and Information Literacy Week, Mohammed made this statement.

Nigeria is safe, according to Lai Mohammed, who allays concerns over a possible terrorist attack in Abuja.

He continued by saying that the military and other security organizations were capable of defending both natives and foreigners in Nigeria. The government’s guarantee follows a security warning issued by the US Embassy in Abuja on Sunday.

There was a high probability of terrorist attacks in Nigeria, notably in Abuja, according to the US Embassy.

I can assure you that our military and other security agencies have kept up their efforts to secure and protect both Nigerians and foreigners who are residents of Nigeria. Terrorists have been pursued and forced to flee. Hundreds of bandits have been killed and scattered. Thanks to the sacrifice of our men and women in the military, our nation is safer now than it has ever been.

Nigerians must also remain vigilant but must not panic. The worst is past for Nigeria in terms of insecurity, as I recently stated in a statement. Mohammed further claimed that some media outlets and social media influencers were constantly caught for disseminating inaccurate material on their platforms just for clickbait’s financial benefits.

Speaking of clickbait, this may have contributed to the dissemination of the alleged security notice that certain foreign embassies in Nigeria recently issued.

If such a security notice was ever issued, one would assume that it was intended to draw Nigerian residents’ attention to the issuing nations. This alert suddenly spread over traditional and digital media, causing terror among the public.
